• We received the 1992 Distinguished Award and the 1987 and 1990 Award of Excellence (hardware user's guide categories) in the annual Northern California Technical Publications Competition sponsored by the Society for Technical Communication.

Selected Clients and Projects

During the past seven years, we have managed the production for nearly fifty ALPS publications. These publications include:

• LSX1600 Laser Printer User's Guide and the DMX800 Printer User's Guide

  These two-color manuals both contain approximately 250 pages and display the new format that we recently produced for ALPS America. ALPS asked us to create a new organizational and design format that is contemporary and user friendly, yet would continue to cover information for both new and experienced users. Both manuals include separately bound quick start guides. The LSX1600 Laser Printer User's Guide recently won awards in international and regional publications competitions.

• PSX300g Page Scanner User's Guide

  This 20-page, two-color manual--in the same user-friendly format as the LSX1600 and DMX800 user's guide mentioned above--explains how to set up and install the scanner and its associated hardware.

• P2400C Printer User's Manual, Allegro 24 Printer User's Manual, ALQ224e/324e Printer User's Manual, and the Allegro 500 Printer User's Manual

  These user's manuals range from 200-250 pages, and all contain original, detailed line drawings, tables, and indexes. These manuals are directed toward both new and experienced printer users and therefore contain detailed reference and programming material in addition to set-up and maintenance information.

• Allegro 24 Printer Maintenance Manual, ASP1000 Printer Maintenance Manual, and the Allegro 500XT Printer Maintenance Manual/

  These maintenance manuals are all about 200 pages long and contain detailed schematic and mechanical diagrams and complex tables and charts. These manuals are used by in-house engineering, maintenance, and training personnel.
